Tip Regarding “Doodle/Lineart Coloring”

This is just a tip for coloring doodles/Lineart

1. So open your Lineart/Doodle Scan in Photoshop

Photo = Here

2. Duplicate the Background Layer and fill the Background Layer with white.

3. Double click the Duplicated Layer - The Layer style dialog box will appear and select “Color Overlay”

4. We’ll do this so you can change the black color on your doodle/drawing

5. Change its blending mode to “Lighten”

6. Now change the Blending mode of the Duplicated layer to “Multiply” so that you can eliminate the Whites and you can now start coloring your doodle/Lineart.

Note : The color layers should be below the doodle layer.

7. I’m using the pen tool for coloring - but you can also use the brush tool if you’re having a hard time using the pen tool.

Tip : Every color = New layer. So that you can easily change it later on.

Start with the base then add the highlights/shadows.

So yes. :)

Enjoy
